Keene Way Drive Documentary photographer, Teru Kuwayama, frequently finds himself on the front lines in Afghanistan, his "hands down favorite country on earth." His work has appeared in Time, Life, Newsweek and National Geographic. |
Thursday, March 18 at 7 p.m. North Medford High School Auditorium 1900 N. Keene Way Drive Dr. Marcus and Ms. Bergman, among the founding board members of the Central Asia Institute, will share the early history of the organization, their stories, experiences, and images of Central Asia. |
In coordination with the Jackson County Reads 2010 book choice Three Cups of Tea, the Friends of the White City Library are hosting a Volunteer Outreach Tea. The Tea will be held on Tuesday, March 23 from 7:00-8:30 p.m., at the White City Branch Library, 3143 Avenue C.
Russ Cooper will present “Out of Kathmandu” in coordination with Jackson County Reads 2010, a one-book, one-community program, on Thursday, March 18 from 4:00–5:30 p.m. at the Eagle Point Branch Library, 239 West Main Street.
Come to a lecture and discussion on the second largest religion in the world. Jackson County Library Services and the Jackson County Library Foundation present “Understanding Islam” by Steve Scholl to enhance Three Cups of Tea, this year’s selection for Jackson County Reads, a one-book, one-community program.
