JCLS Summer Reading Programs
This year 3953 children in Jackson County read 49,889 books during the One World, Many Stories summer reading program and 600 teens participated in the young adult program, You Are Here. They all enjoyed a variety of craft and music programs and received some marvelous incentives donated by generous sponsors. A special thank you to HomeTown Buffet, KidTime Discovery Experience and Friends of the Library groups throughout the county for their continuing support!
Congratulations to the Neilitz Family of Jacksonville, selected as a winner in this summer’s “Destination College Savings” campaign, sponsored by the Oregon College Savings Plan in partnership with the Oregon State Library and Oregon Library Association. Melanie Neilitz will receive a $1,000 Oregon College Savings Plan account on behalf of her child’s higher education.”
